| Notebook Cover You will need... • 3/4" yard (68.5cm) fabric • Matching sewing thread • Pins • Scissors • Fabric paint pens • Three-ring binder • Buttons, beads, appliqués, or other decorative trims | | | 1 |
Open the binder and measure the width and height. Add 11 3/4" (29.8cm) to the width and 11/4" (3.2cm) to the height. Cut two pieces of fabric with these measurements. |  |  | |

With right sides together, pin-baste the two pieces of fabric. Stitch around the outside edge with a seam allowance of 5/8" (15mm), pivoting at corners, and leaving a 4" (10cm) opening on one short side. | |  | |

Trim corners diagonally. Turn right side out through the opening; press. Slip stitch the opening closed. | |  | |

Fold in each short side 57/8" (14.8cm). Stitch along each top and bottom edge to create pockets. Press. Slide your binder into the pockets. | |  | | 5 |
